Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida today announced that Jeff Bishop will be retiring from his position as President. He will remain an active member of the Advisory Board, as well as a consultant for the company. Steve Bishop, who has been serving as Chief Operating Officer, will become President & COO. These transitions allow Maschmeyer to continue its mission to be the supplier of choice by consistently providing quality products and services throughout the state of Florida.
Jeff spent his entire professional career with Maschmeyer. He started with the company when it was based in Michigan and moved to Florida when the first plant opened here in 1986. Over his forty-four years of service, he has held multiple roles including General Manager and Vice President. He has also played a critical role in the development of the company’s culture. Jeff’s significant contributions and achievements will not be forgotten, and his devotion and influence will continue to impact the next generation of professionals he helped hire and train.
Steve Bishop, Jeff’s son, spent his summers working alongside his father. Those experiences paved the way for his future with Maschmeyer Concrete. Over the past several decades, Steve has served as Sales Professional, General Manager, Vice President and now, President and Chief Operating Officer. Steve is a past President of Florida Independent Concrete & Associated Products and is a current Board and Executive Committee Member of Florida Concrete & Products Association and NRMCA.
